we are never the same person
within
that is to say
"we" the many tendencies, personages that comprise
who "we" are, is not singular, but many
so the we of who we are
is a many faceted being
much like an army
this compliation of personages
feelings, identites, memories, aspirations
like the troops of a large army
must fall under the leadership of a strong general
there must be a leader (within)
who can bring order
to this vast army of "us"
and the leader while being strong
must win, effect discipline
by means of winning the hearts of "us"
he cannot rule with an iron fist
the consent which he achieves
must be joyful
order and discipline
brought forth
by an enlightned leader
who wins the hearts of his troops
